Question: Need help with Correct Battery for Sony DSC-W35!!!!?

I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W35 and the battery has been overcharged and does not work. It is a lithium ion NP-BG1 and says G type on the battery. I’m looking for batteries and was wondering if a Sony NP-FG1 InfoLITHIUM Type G Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery would also work for my camera. Thanks in advance!!!

Answer: Before you start mixing and matching batteries, call the Sony help line 800.222.SONY and check with them.

I am surprised that your battery actually over charged … most chargers made by major camera makers have circuitry that prevent overcharging. Your battery should last at least four or five years as long as you do not let the battery sit fully discharged for a long period of time. That is one of the few things that kill Li-ion batteries … that and using generic chargers which can over heat the battery … and as you mentioned, over charge them.

Question: Sony InfoLithium P instead of H on the DVD308?
My uncle will be one to take a trip together. My camera uses batteries series P series and its uses H. I know that Sony has replaced the P series with the H. My 2006 camera you can use the new P-series battery, according to the website. Does anyone know if the opposite is true? I would NP-FP71 use my camera for his visa, which will be held on his journey.
