Question: How to fix “droop” problem on ball head ?

I have tripod ball head, brand AMVONA. The build is pretty good, but I cannot lock the ball head tight. Most of the time it droops, especially when I do vertical shooting. I would tight it as tight as possible, but still droop. Is there any way to fix this ? or this is it for cheap ball head ? It has some sort of lubricant.

Answer: If you recently bought it and the lock doesn’t work, take or send it back for replacement.
If the lock has loosened through use, buy a new ball head.

Question: Which camera should I buy?

I'm 16, and will be onwards photography courses at Durham Tech. I recently took some portrait's friends and family for a while 'advertising. Now I just have a point and shoot, but would like something nicer preferably a Nikon or Cannon. Less is better, but I want something with good quality. 8 mega pixels or more, and I want to be able to use external flash drive and ball head tripod. Something in the range of $ 400 – $ 800.
