There are three different ways you can get animals on a flight. The first way is when you bring them on as a “Carry-on”. This is when you put them in a small, approved carrier that can fit under your seat. I’m pretty sure that most airlines wont let you bring rats on as carry-ons, and if you have two rats, you have to have two people. The second way is to bring them as “Checked Baggage”. Most airlines will only let you bring rats as Checked Baggage. They have to be in an approved carrier, and they will be stores in a special climate-controlled, pressure-controlled part of the plane. The third way is to ship them as Cargo. This is usually for people who aren’t traveling with their pets.

There are a lot of other things to consider as well. Traveling with pets can be very expensive, around $200 each. You might not be able to take them with you if they are not allowed in the place you are going (such as Hawaii or Alberta).Traveling is always stressful on pets, especially small animals like rats.

Probably the most cost-effective thing you can do is have someone ship them to you after you get there instead of trying to bring them with you on the plane. Shipping crates for mammals and other costs end up making it about $130 to ship a pair of rats.

If you don’t have a VERY good reason for taking them on a plane, you probably shouldn’t. If you still want to do it, you need to contact your local airlines and ask them about their rules. Each one is different. In the USA, I think Delta Airlines is the best carrier to use for shipping animals.

Question: Koolpix 775 Nikon watered whiskey in a travel bag now will not work?

Any ideas on this problem? It was in a canvas travel bag with a bottle of scotch fleeing. I took the card and battery, and left the door open to dry, but it does not work. Is there any hope for a solution? He worked camera, good. I have extra batteries, and all cables and chargers and stuff with him, and not unwilling to give up. Ideas? Thank you

Answer: Dont try to turn it on until you take it apart and clean with alcohol and q-tips. Remember not yourself off floor before working on something electronic (static). If you've ever tried to light it, the chances of a courts are much higher. If you can not make it work, or whose home apart yourself, take it in a store camera. Good luck.

I’m thinking of buying a new digital camera to take backpacking with me in China and America. I don’t mind if it is Compact or SLR, but it cant be gigantic because I have got to carry it with me all the time. Also it would be good if it shoots in raw+jpeg but it is not completely necessary but I wont have a computer with me and would like to be able to look at my images. So any advice about a good digital camera?

Answer: If you want to shoot RAW (not necessary in my opinion), then you should go with a light DSLR like the Nikon d40. It is the smallest and lightest Nikon DSLR. Most of the weight will be given to the extra lenses you will bring. Figure out what lenses you’ll need. The d40 coupled with the Nikon 18-200 VR would be a good all-around performer without too much weight. It would be the only lens you would need. Image performance isn’t superb at all focal lengths, but the convenience and weight savings will make up for it. Plus, it blows anything available as a compact.

Answer: Best is a relative term. Do you mean better structural protection and cushioning and configurability better access easyest / / better value for a given budget / … And how much material you want to pack? As for brands, I'm really fond of Crumpler. I use their "Ben's Pizza XXL shoulder when I travel with a digital SLR camera + lens combo 3 (or 1 lens + a bottle of water and a travel guide). Their bags are robust, well thought out, and it so important for me they look like camera bags. They have a wide range of camera bags, small pouches full bags backpacks.
