I bought a Kodak disposible camera and when I used it all up, I was stupid enough to take it out of the camera and roll out the film from its protective case! When I took it out, the film was blank and I had the lights on in my room. Is the film no good now or will I still be able to get the pictures???

It has to stay in the dark until each frame is exposed to light with the proper amount of exposure.

After the whole roll is exposed, the film is then developed (in your case at photo lab) and prints are made of each exposure.

I found 3 rolls of film in their cans .. how can I tell if the film was used? they each have about one inch of film that comes out .. So if it had been used the film would be any the path inside the case? The camera rewinds the film with them automatically after use ..

Answer: Generally, if the film has a leader who comes out, it has not yet been used. That said, I had a camera that after reassembly leave a little of the outgoing head of the film cartridges. I have to check for brands / Kinks to see if the film had been used or not. In general, however, when you buy new film, the leader runs the width of the slot box to block incoming light. So if the leader has topped this niche, I'd say it's new movie. If the head is only partially blocked the slot, so I suspect it is probably exposed film was rewound with only part of the leader came out:. About the only things you can do 1) get a roll of film costs and compare the amount of lead coming out on the new roll of three rolls, or 2) develop a roll and see if it has pictures. If yes, then the other two photos were probably too. If no photos on a roll the other two are probably as fresh rolls. The drawback is the loss of a roll of film and the cost of treatment.
