Question: Portrait photographers who don’t have a studio yet…?
What kind of backgrounds do you LIKE to use (besides location)? Canvas, muslin, seamless, pop-outs?
I like grey seamless paper the most… I can easily use gels to change the color and I don’t have to steam it
Wow… it’s a quiet morning.Answer: I like seemless. I have grey also, but the gels seem to be more vivid against the black muslin I have.
I have too much carpet around, so my seemless has to be for portraits only. The muslin works OK when I hang it up and have some on the carpeted floor.

Question: refinishing oak cabinets? We are remodeling oak kitchen cabinets. They were stained in a gray shade and the outer coat was yellow. I undressed, bleached and sanded them. I wanted to be the color of a solid spot on the left whats hide the gray spot is deep in the grain of the wood. Would an oatmeal, wheat or muslin color but the gray Bleeding Through continues. Is there a fixed spot indoors? I even bought pigment powder to intensify the color and still have the gray color shows through. Everyone knows what I can try to resolve this problem. The attempt to save instead of the cabinets to prevent a big expense. Meme21000
Answer: It seems like have more money to try to resolve them, what would it cost to have just about new. Stain is permanent. I would never try restain a different color. either throw or paint. I know a lot of cabinets in the shops are high, but I know dozens of guys who know how to make cabinets. and I can tailor them cheaper. If I make them in the glass Doors and lights in them.
