I want to start digital art. I've done some amateur editing but I really want to try digital art.

For image editing, photo manipulation - Adobe Photoshop, or the GIMP
For line art, vector art - Adobe Illustrator, or InkscapeInkscape and the GIMP are free and open-source. Adobe's products are very expensive.

Question: What is a tablet, and how do I use? Need help with digital art?I want to learn to do digital art, but I found get a tablet that is useful. What is a tablet, and how do I use? It is compatible with Photoshop or what?
Answer: by hand on the basis of a computer, a tablet is much easier to use than trying to draw with the mouse. (Who has been compared to "drawing a brick. ") Note that it is not EXACTLY like drawing with a pencil or pen. It takes practice and getting used to, well, do not expect instant good results the first few times you play with him. But, like any drawing skills, the more you practice, the sooner you will get well. Note that the tablet digitizer is really just another form of mouse, with the added feature of pressure sensitivity. Thus, the extent of compatibility, the tablet pen and work with almost any program that uses a mouse. Pressure sensitivity is built into most graphics applications Photoshop and many others.
