Question: What kind of support that is used for children 6 months professional halloween picture?

Apart from his costume (which is a mistake lady). I was thinking of leaning against a pumpkin or two, but I wanted to use a lot of different accessories unfortunately I can not think of something creative. Please help!

A: Or you can put it in a pumpkin patch type configuration, or get a big pile of leaves fake. There has to be completely Halloween, the fact that she has a costume that speak for itself. Hope this helped somehow:)

Question: What kind of umbrellas are best for a studio? White, or silver? Do they all reflect?

I’m new to indoor lighting. Figured the best way to learn was to jump in there and go. Should I get white, sliver or what? What is “shoot through.” Don’t they all reflect? Do all light holders hold many different bulbs? Can I use any bulb I desire? I want continuous lighting, not strobe.

Answer: It really depends on what kind of light and what kind of subjects you’re shooting as to whether the silver or white reflectors work better.

The silver reflectors work well for non-living things, and in situation you want more strong, directional light. Using a sliver reflector on a person could end up accentuating every pore due to the highly directional focused light.

The white reflectors send the light around a little more softly, making the end result a little more smooth with a little less noticable imperfections.

If you plan on shooting color, you will need to get different film and should get specific color balanced bulbs. The most common are balanced for Tungsten bulbs. Nearly all bulbs, incadescent and flourescent, send out a specific color of light. Incadescent ranges from a reddish orange to a warm yellowish colored light. Flourescent bulbs tend to be a greenish color. Our eyes adjust for this, but film can not.

Of course, if you plan on shooting black and white, then you can nearly use any form of bulb you want, and makes continuous lighting a fantastic economical alternative to studio strobes.

Question: What type of material (fabric) should I use to diffuse the light for photography in the studio?

I want to make some screens to be used instead of soft boxes, umbrellas to diffuse the light. I'm worried that the use of any tissue will affect the white balance of light.

Answer: Extremely thin, clean, white muslin. It 'very important that is clean and white, otherwise the quality of color and light that passes it suffer.
