Question: what kind of cameras have LANC ports?
I have a tripod with a remote control but my camera doesnt have the LANC port i dont think. Any suggestions?
Answer: The LANC-U PIC chip will control any Sony or Canon camcorder with a LANC port. The LANC port was developed by Sony as an editing port, and it has the commands to power up/down the camcorder, and start/stop recording. The Universal board with this PIC chip will send these command to your camcorder when a PIR event comes in.
Check the link below, it gives you a list of all the cameras that run on this kind of port. They are only Canon and Sony branded cameras that use it, only not all of them do it. But check the link and it will give you your answer, just scroll down a bit..

Question: can i recover images deleted off my compact flash card that were deleted ON the camera?
i accidentally deleted some pictures off my compact flash card inside my dslr that i really need. i deleted them IN the camera, not on the computer. if anyone knows any program that i can download that can somehow restore these files when i sync it with the computer, that would be amazing.
Answer: plug your camera into your pc with the card in it. goto mycomputer, look for your camera and its properties

Question: What is the largest compact Flash Memory Card that the Canon Digital Rebel XT can hold?What is the biggest card compact flash memory that the Canon Digital Rebel XT can hold? I know that you can use any size, but will not display as many pictures as you are. So what is the size that is technically the most?
Answer: I used a SanDisk Extreme III 4GB CF card successfully my Rebel XT and shot over a thousand images on it. The limit is 999 on the card, but actually takes about 1 040 JPEGs in high quality camera adjustment. The first 40 to 50 images told me I had 999 left. I could see all the images on the LCD screen. Hope this helps.
