He’ll have the software, the USB cable that will allow you to attach the camera to the computer, or a USB card reader which will allow you to download your images. No sense you buying more equipment like this if he’s got it since it’s his camera. If you’re on vacation and your card is full and your brother is not around, take your camera to the nearest store to you that sells cameras or computers and buy an extra flash card. When you get back from your trip give him the extra flash card as thanks for letting you use his camera. I suspect he will be happy to download your images into his computer and then make CDs for you.

Answer: Anyone who comes right out and says one is better than another is probably quite biased. I shoot Nikon. I since 5 years now. I'll tell you no more the Nikon or Canon is able to take great pictures and decent video. There are tradeoffs with a camera. You can see both at DPReview. Take a hold of everyone. Put it in your eyes and feel as if the controls are. Some people feel Nikon is willing better and some have fallen like Canon are. You do not fool with a camera. Take your time to make a decision. Once you've done so, stop reading reviews. Go buy your camera and start learning to use it.

Question: iPAQ rx1950: Manual-Reflash ROM method? Mine can’t boot or reset. Blank Screen, No LED light indication. HELP

My iPAQ rx1950 can’t boot or switch on even with the AC charger connected to it for chgarging.
Tried Soft & Hard Reset but can’t help, I even plug the the AC charger into it, but no indication of Recharging on the LED near the ON/OFF switch. I connected my iPAQ to my PC, but system did not detect its presence. Nothing appears on my monitor.
Any kind soul please help me! If you know the manual way of “Flashing” its ROM (Example: Flashing the new ROM directly onto the PCB Board with some “cable”.) I have tools to open the iPAQ casing, but just don’t know what to rectify the problem everything on the PCB seem to be fine, no corrosion, no leaked, no dust & dirt, no spoilt button & LCD display is perfect (No crack & “bleed”)
I really appreciate if you could guide me with as much details as possible to solve my iPAQ problem.
This PDA is quite a useful one, good for light-user light me with just surfing internet and play music Although at time it has slight problem.

Answer: Very little can be done with Main ROM error, If there is a solution to it, gotta ask HP for it, if the spec sheet says rx1950 uses Masked ROM, there is no help, period. Masked ROM is burnt statically not electronically Flashed.

Question: Should I have a Nikon D40 or Nikon D70 camera?

I am a photographer looking to upgrade cameras. 've Never owned a Nikon professionals, but I know you love them. I originally wanted a D40, because a friend swears by it, but I found a lot about a D70 with a lot of items included: Nikon D70 body Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor lens (18-70mm F3.5-4.5G ED) SB-600 i-TTL Speedlight + Nikon strap soft case camera batteries and chargers 3 X 2 X 1 GB flash card (the SanDisk Ultra II and a 1GB Lexar Professional 80X Ultra High Speed) LCD cover 77 millimeters ring converter (allows the use of filters of 77 mm), 77 millimeters Tiffen UV Protector Filter The price, seems like a good deal, but since I do not know anything about Nikon, I do not know if it's a good deal as it seems. Which would you go for? A d40 or d70 with nothing with it? D40 is a D70 better? Any feedback much appreciated.

Answer: D40 and D70 image quality is about the same. D70 is two generations old, replaced by D80, which has been replaced by the D90, but do not let that bother. D70 image quality is still good. D70 can autofocus more on the lenses (including the 50mm f1.8 which is good, cheap, fast, strong lens). D40 needs AF-I or AF-S targets autofocus, autofocus will not on AF or AF-D lenses. D70 to D40 with nothing would be better than nothing. D70 with it? Grasp.
