Question: How do I save PS3 Storage media that contains update of version 3.30 or later?
My ps3′s going threw a little problem at the moment during a system update when i turned it on. It only goes to (39-40%) and then stops. I tried everything on the internet but one useful answer helped me so far. The answer was to completely shut down everything and disconnect. Then reconnect the AC cord and turn on. When the System Update turns back on remove the HDD Drive until a screen comes up saying there’s an error. Wait till (60 sec) count down and go into a blank screen for 30 seconds and place the HDD Drive back in. After, connect the charger wire to the wireless remote controller and connect to the PS3 then press the middle clear button. Last a screen comes up saying to connect a storage media that contains update data version 3.30 or later, and then press START and SELECT buttons at the same time. Thats where this problem is being stumbled upon from their. Everything worked and gave me good results but that last part. (What do i copy to place into the storage media and how?)
Answer: This might work.
1. Download PS3 FW 3.40 http://2.gp/MZ8
2. Get a usb drive that is larger than 168 MB and format that to FAT32.
3. After you have formatted it go inside of it and make a new folder that you call PS3, and inside of that you make another folder which you name UPDATE and under there is where you keep the FW file (1).If that doesn’t work here is a extreme way that if it doesn’t work, it could be hardware issues.
1. Download these 2 apps PS3 FW 3.40 http://2.gp/MZ8 and a partition app. http://2.gp/MZ9
2. Take out the ps3 hdd which is done this way http://2.gp/M5F
3. Get a usb enclosure (recommend) or a computer and insert the hdd inside of it.
4. Run the partition app you downloaded (1) and you format the drive to either ntfs or fat32 and hit apply. Then format it to “unallocated” this is important bc you mess up the database on it so it cant be readable. Then you take out the drive and insert it back to the ps3.
5. Get a usb drive that is larger that 168 MB bc you need to store the firmware. You can also format the drive in the partition app but it must be FAT32. And when that’s done enter the drive and make a new folder there and call it PS3 and inside of that you make another new folder which you call UPDATE. And inside of the update folder is where you put the FW file you should have downloaded bye now (1).
6. Then insert the usb drive into the ps3 usb port and power the beast, then it will say something about restoring it. That’s bc when you formatted it you messed all the content on the hdd but that obviously the point. Then I think you hit select and start at the same time and the rest should be a walk in the park.

Question: Need Help Finding A Camera?
I’m looking for the highest MEGA-PIXEL cameras with the highest OPTICAL ZOOM that fits the following requirements:
1. Uses High Capacity SD (HC-SD) & regular SD cards.
2. Uses AA or AAA size batteries (NO PROPRIETARY BATTERY SHAPES / PACKS)
I’m looking for options in pocket size like the Casio Exilim series and larger sizes like the Canon PowerShot series.
Please include make and model number so I can more eaisly look them up myself.
Best Answer to the one who gives the most variety that fits the requirements.
Answer: To look for specific models, go to dpreview.com They have exhaustive reviews, specs and links to places you can buy with consumer ratings on the retailers. I’d go with canon – great cameras with great features and image quality. Some things you ought to consider: for most people, any thing over 8mp is overkill. I have blown up shots from a 6mp DSLR (good quality sensor) at a 200 ISO (a measure of light sensitivity – lower numbers need more light, but have less noise in the image) to as big as 24″ X 36″ with no visible pixelation. A good quality sensor is much more important than pixels once you are above 4-6mp. Smaller sensors with high pixel count are more prone to noise (visible graininess in the photo) than a given number of pixels on a bigger sensor or less pixels on the same sensor.
As to your avoidance of proprietary batteries, I understand being able to get charged batteries is an important consideration, but those proprietary batteries will usually give you much greater life than the equivalant size of AAA or AA batteries. You can find the batteries aftermarket on line for a significant discount over the ones from the camera manufacturer (I’ve had excellent life from the ones from Rayovac) and by keeping a couple of extra ones on hand and charged you can shoot a weeks worth of photos for the average user. Plus you can get car chargers for them or by an inexpensive inverter to plug the factory charger into your car.
You are correct in looking for optical zoom. Digital zoom is meaningless.
