Question: quick question, is this achievable without using a tele-converter, if yes, what macro lens do u recommend?

http://fc08.deviantart.com/fs33/i/2008/307/9/2/Jumping_Spider_by_dhead.jpg

sorry new to macro photography….

what macro lens can do the same thing?

Answer: Get yourself a Sigma 50mm f/2.8 Macro EX DG or Tamron 90mm Macro or Sigma 105mm Macro.

The 50mm means you will have to get physically closer to the subject but being 50mm also has the ‘human eye’ perspective typical of a 50mm prime lens (although with the sensor crop the equivalent field of view could be up to 85mm – nice if you want to do portraits too!) The 90mm and 105mm lenses mean you can keep some distance between the camera and the subject e.g. if you dont want to disturb an insect.

The 50mm is the cheapest though and has some very good reviews.

Question: Need definition or meaning of some technical terms in digital camera?

Wide Zoom, Zoom tele, macro focus, Max. wide opening, min. open canvas, max. open canvas, Sequence (FPS), USB.

Answer: Forget About a minute to zoom and just talk about focal lengths. Depending on what you went to school, a length of 'normal' focal length is about 50 to 55 mm. This is presumably similar to what the human eye sees naturally. wider angles have lower numbers, so a 35mm (nothing to do with 35mm film) is a wide-angle lens. 28 mm wide angle is very wide and 12 mm is an ultra wide-angle lens. (The precise terms vary a bit '). Instead any lens with a higher number to 55 mm is a telephoto lens. 80 mm and a telephoto lens. 200mm telephoto lens is super and so on. Lenses may have fixed lengths, many high-quality portrait lenses can have a fixed length of 50 mm. However, some common goals have the ability to vary their focal length. For example, 50 to 120 mm zoom lens that covers a range from normal to telephoto. A lens covering 18-55 mm zoom lens is yet, but it is a telephoto lens so as not to confuse them. Aperture is the amount surface area of the photo can be used for real. In a perfect world you would be able to use all the surface of this lens would give a value of openness F1. In the real world, even a high quality lens can only use half of the surface and therefore has an aperture of f2. Some objectives can only use a maximum of 1 / 5 of the glass and then is said to have a maximum value of F5. Sometimes we need to reduce the amount of light entering the lens so we have a diaphragm that can close in a circular shape to the center of the lens by reducing the area of glass used. When only 1 / 8 of the glass is not covered by the diaphragm, we are now using the lens at F8. 1 / 16 of the lens and we are running a F16 and so on. Not fixed or zoom can have different values of maximum aperture according as they are magnified, so a 28-200 goal might be able to use the glass 1/3.5 to 28 mm, but only able to use 1/5.6 of the glass when you zoom to 200 mm. Therefore, the maximum opening of this goal is said to be f3.5 – 5.6. (Note that the lower the number the larger the aperture), the opening is a measure of how closely the diaphragm can close, in some cases not only leaves 1 / 45 of the glass available for use or in other words a value of F45! Macro is the ability to focus on an object close to the lens is usually a long telephoto lens, and then enlarging the image. The macro focus range is the range of distances of the lens can focus on when operating in this mode. Sequence (FPS) refers to the ability of the camera to capture video. FPS = frames per second. If the video is captured in less than 15 frames second, the quality is poor and seems nervous. Most cameras these days can do 25-30 FPS Bus. USB = Universal Serial. This is a standard computer allowing devices to be connected to a computer that is running. Almost all cameras connected via USB and all computers less than 5 years have USB ports. Hope this helps.

Question: How do you turn off flash on a canon camera?

Well my canon camera is a 3.4x optical zoom and 7.1 mega pixels.. camera…. powershot A470… I have no idea how to turn off the flash…..can i even turn it off?

Answer: Whenever I have a question/problem such as yours, I read the user’s guide (aka “the manual”).
It is amazing just how much I always learn from that.

If that doesn’t help (or if I’m interested in a product I don’t own), I check the manufacturer’s website.
They have descriptions and specs for their gadgets, often have user forums, and the decent manufacturers all let you download the manuals in electronic form (so losing the book is no longer a problem).

99% of the time that does the trick.

You are missing out on a LOT of opportunities and fun by not knowing anything about your camera. Do yourself the favour to learn about it, you’ll love the results.

About the flash, here is a hint: look for a symbol that looks like a lightning bolt.

Question: Canon camera flash does not work w / o flash.?

Canon A540 recently I can not take pictures with flash on. Even if I can take pictures when the flash is off, but when I turn the flash (auto or forced on flash) The indicator flashes on the screen keeps flashing and nothing happens. I also tried waiting for about 20 seconds after pressing the button once to take pictures. I looked at other posts that mention about late becoz battery problems. I am using Energizer Rechargeable 2500mAh NiMH batteries, even if the batteries are> 2 years old thats certainly not the problem. I also tried to reduce the level of the flash to -2 by default 0. Any other suggestions. Thanks you.

Answer: Low battery, charge it or change it.
