Answer: When most of the cameras for the money Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens (under $ 500). This will give you $ 1,200 to $ 1,700 to buy some great used Nikon AF-I or AF-S lenses that can be used for macro subjects (100 mm macro will give you a good distance from your insects, excellent macro images yet).
