Question: help buying camera (color)?Ok well I am interested in buying a digital camera. I am interested in the color accent mode Canon Power Shots. I just need to know if there are any other cameras that are cheap for that to do so. I would also like to know if there are programs that any other color accent (in Falls You don 't know - where everyone is a color other than black and white) This includes Adobe Photshop. I tried that already and it would not work on my computer to work. Please help.
Answer: Canon Power Shots are the only cameras that have this in color accent thing. With the exception of the Power Shot S3IS, I guess. I have not seen fiddling with my girlfriend when I S3IS. I own a Sony Cyber-shot H7 and it has an edit in the camera. Many functions in progress such as fish-eye lens, partial color, soft-focus, but no accent. Some color is like maintaining a body that is colored, while others are black and white. The Canon PowerShot A530 is cheap. 5MP with color accent. Photoshop is this you have to fiddle and experiment. Because I want it again.

Question: Will 1 150ws monolight be powerful enough for a large softbox?
I'm looking to add a monolight to my speedlite kit and was curious if a 150ws monolight (flashpoint) would be powerful enough to shoot through a 16" x 70" softbox and still give me f/8 at iso 200 to 400 at about 4 to 6 feet from softbox to subject Can I achieve this at a lower power than 1/1, possibly 1/4 or lower? FYI I'll have a reflector on the opposite side filling shadows.
Answer: IT may, however you will find that more power will be much more to your liking. You will need to have the soft box very close to the subject to get the f8 you want. I pump 400ws into a soft box about that size now and then and am thinking I need a second head in there often.

Question: Which lighting kit should I choose?I plan to have children, family portraits, high-level. I'm going through a difficult time deciding on what lighting kit I need to buy one of these or a softbox and a umbralla? That would be enough light? Answer: First of all, I do not I'm a fan of the Westcott lights. Westcott products are generally good, but seriously over-price in my opinion (you pay a premium for the name of more vs. the output power of the flash). For the lights cheap, I'm a fan of travelites Calumet. They are reliable, powerful and functional. That said ... I personally go with the light-kit 3. Once you learn to use all 3 lights, you get better results. You can use the third light as a light background, or a hair or accent light. If you were to meet a family about 6 or more, you'll be glad for the extra light coverage in more than a 3rd light can provide. In addition, the 200w / s is not that powerful - especially if you plan to use a softbox. Another advantage is that, even if you typically shoot with two lights, it's nice to know that you have a back-up Light with you always. As for the question softbox and umbrella, I'm sure many will tell you to use a softbox. I however, recommend an umbrella if you go with these 200W / s flash. She does not lose nearly the amount light than a softbox. It takes a good amount of light so that you can stop the lens down to family members to ensure decent openings in a row are in focus. To those who say the softbox will give better results: Any professional will tell you that the good results is more dependent on the ability modifier used in lighting - So do not let anyone tell you otherwise then. If the budget allows & you really want a softbox setup, I recommend the purchase of two light kit, and then taking third strongest light. Maybe something around the range of 400W / s up to 750 W / s. For example, here is a 375W / s kit (you'd still need to buy a softbox compatible): http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/CE1094/ is not strong ... but can be used with a softbox and almost twice as bright as the Westcotts. Another path that I would seriously consider is this: These are http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/CE1440/ (2)-375W / s heads with umbrellas, case, stand, etc. These 2 will produce more power than all 3 combined Westcotts. If you decide to upgrade equipment later, all you need do is add a 750W / head s & use it as main light (vs. most likely need to buy all new lights and more powerful the Westcotts). Here's what a 750W / s head is spinning (FYI): http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/CE1105/ This should be more than enough to get you started with the children and the elderly - and appropriate for the typical family and groups of up to about 6-8. If you're thinking of families lighting 12 & up ... want all the lights are 750W / s heads. I guess the bottom line is to try to get the most of light that can be overlooked, as it will be much more expensive in the long run to buy all new lights (when you realize that your light output power is holding you back from more lucrative jobs).
