Question: Does your electricity supplier charge you for static electricity?
If that is the case, should I stop wearing anything made of nylon?
Answer: Your electricity supplier only bills you (I swapped verbs to avoid the pun) for electrical energy which can be measured by measuring and integrating the total current flowing through that electricity usage meter.
Measuring static electricity is beyond the capability of the utility company's measurement device. When you rub a balloon on your head and use it to zap your sibling, electrons flow from your finger to your sibling's finger. None of the electrons flow through the utility company's box, and therefore they cannot bill you for it.
After all, you did the work to create the static electricity by rubbing the balloon on your head, so there is no reason for the utility company to bill you for it, because its energy doesn't translate in to fuel that their power plant needs to burn in order to deliver electrical energy.
So who does bill you for static electricity? Would you ever guess, the grocery store? You eat the food in order to be able to do the work by human muscles to make static electric charges. Somewhere, that work energy must've sourced, and it does as the food you eat. Although, this work you do is negligible compared to the rest of the work you do all day. And even the muscle work you do all day is negligible compared to other uses of your caloric food consumption.

Question: bracket bent bobbin?I just received my sewing machine and I am an absolute beginner. I was just trying to to get a feel for when I decided to use some pretty thick thread .... the spool says that its nylon thread and causes it to jam the machine ... I made the error, pulled on him and when I opened it to check the bobbin area, I noticed that the metal in that the bobbin (coil -> bobbin -> Bobbin holder holds) a little bent ... not exactly a perfect circle more ... I was loading it with with my thread, I was before, and it still works ok ... I am but maybe it will cause a problem in the future any advice affected?
Answer: Yes. Take your bent Piece to a local sewing machine shop and ask someone there to ask for advice. It is impossible to tell from here if the problem is serious or not. If you continue to use and It is a serious problem, one could damage the unit.

Question: What would a high-tech art studio look like?
Can you picture a technology based art studio and gallery space for two dozen digital (photos, video, music, etc) and physical artists (paint, sculpture, performance, installation, etc)? What would it look like? How would it work? How could you make the space valuable to the artists and the community while having a business model that makes it worthwhile? What would make you want to go there and visit, interact, and create?
Give us some good ideas and you may help shape a new type of art space.
Answer: you may want to read through this:

I came across it by chance recently and it sounded like good advice.
Generally I think a lot would depend on what kind of rooms you own for that purpose or can afford to rent. The space will determine to a large extent what you actually can do. And it would look pretty much like other galleries. Multipurpose means no frills. Just have a bunch of powerpoint projectors and a good space for having parties and a band...If you are seriously rich you can throw in a sound studio and computer lab with expensive 3D programs (3D studio max, maya) for rent.Experience will be a key, how many museums and galleries you visited and how many internships in such institutions you have done? How many people with business experience are in the group of founders?

Question: Where is the best place to have studio photos taken with two dogs?I'm creating a photo collage of Christmas greetings with my two dogs, photos, and I want to go to a studio where they will take a photo, a pose of me and two dogs flanked on both sides of me. I do not want prints, but a digital photo for use in the center of the collage. Can you please recommend a place to do this, I'm in Orange County, California.
Answer: Run search google / Yahoo for portrait photographers in your area, check the directory and search network www.PPA.com for Professional Photographers Association and check their "find a photographer "link. You can also check with www.WPPIOnline.com for marriage and Portrait Photographers International to find a page of their photographer. Once you find out who is, check their styles and see if what you're looking for. Now, a problem, it is November and get a studio shoot and get your shots back time for Christmas might not be possible. You can also check Craig's List for Beginners local pro or semi-pro that would be cheaper and probably more fast. Last thought, check with local animal shelters, which may have contacts for photographers too.
