Question: What is a good business plan for a photography studio??
I AM TRYING TO START A PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO CAN I HAVE SOME NAMES THAT WOULD BE COOL TO HAEV AS WELL???
Answer: Contact your local Small Business Administration office. Its free help with your business plan plus they have SCORE - Service Corp of Retired Executives - to offer mentoring.
I'm going to assume that you have completed at least 1 and preferably 2 years of photography school and have been working as an assistant to a professional photographer at least that long.
If my assumption is wrong, then you need to get busy and enroll in photography classes ASAP - and find a pro to work for as his/her assistant.
Another excellent place to find Studio Photography is on Amazon... They have way more than just books!

Do not enter your home address or anything personal such as a cell phone on this businesscard. Then, when you receive finished business card, go around to various churches, temples and similar advertising. When you receive a major photography assignment, visit your store of professional photography local and "rent" the camera equipment needed to fulfill this task. Because of evolving technology, do not want to get stuck on the possession of old technology and if there is no lull in business activities at times, you can still rent on daily or weekly basis and have so much money tied up with equipment Photo unused stationery. For the best all-in-one budget DSLR camera starter kit with "image stabilization" built in the camera body, two lenses (normal 18-55 mm and 50-200 mm telephoto); case, tripod, and 1 GB SD memory card for $ 600 [up to July 31, 2007], look at the Pentax K100D 6.1 MP which is far superior to the Nikon D40 samys.com. Instead of renting a studio, photographing people at local parks and beaches and for indoor photos, go to the customer's residence or office to set up a photo shooting environment that consists of a set of lights, reflective screens, background drapery, etc. Good luck!
