Question: What Lens Hood For Sony Alpha A350K 18-70mm, 70-300mm?
looking to get a couple lens hoods for my new camera, just got a sony alpha a350k and I have the 18-70mm lens and then the 70-300mm lens..I've seen the lens hoods range in price from $10-$100+ I want a cheaper one the flower petal style, I found one that says 55mm for the alpha 350 but not sure if that will fit mine, so anyone have a link or something or can help let me know what lens hoods I'll need?
I just orderd the camera, it hasent came yet so I guess it would come with those, I'm new to cameras and photography...but always liked the look of the flower petal type lens hood and of course the advantages the have are nice as wellAnswer: There are two things you have to consider. 1) the focal lengths the lens hood is designed for (the wrong size can either cause vignetting or not do much in the way of keeping stray light from striking the lens) and 2) it must fit the lens itself (some are screw on and others use a bayonet system to attach the shade and of course they must have the right diameter for each lens to fit well)
The Sony 70-300 mm lens is supposed to come with the SH0010 Lens Hood and the 18-70 mm is also supposed to include a lens hood. What happened to those?
While a 55 mm lens hood will fit on the end of your 18-70 mm lens, what focal lengths is it designed to be used? The 70-300 mm uses 62 mm filters.

Question: What is a good camera bag for a Nikon D40 two lens kit?I just bought a Nikon D40 two lens kit (18-55mm and 55 mm-200mm) lens. I'm looking for a great camera bag that can hold both the camera body, while a lens is attached, the other lens side, and some accessories such as filters, a petal lens hood, and maybe a notepad with a pen. So zip pocket is a plus. Any recommendations? The trademarks, websites (if possible) and personal first-hand experience would be helpful. Also, do not listen to what the mind brand names to prevent * * If you want to talk about those as well. Thank you! also forgot to say ... trying to maintain an annex Flash speed.
Answer: Personally I have the Lowepro Slingshot 200AW ... is great for trekking ... I have 3 lenses w / one connected to the camera, and with the flash on the opposite side. At the top is a compartment that can safely put any ancillary you like. It's great.

Question: Muslin backdrop: to paint or to dye? what is the best technique?
I want something that can be used for a sports, dances, portraits, etc. Probably light gray with blue and a little red for color. I have a white muslin and need to know how to paint or dye it. Which is the best for a long-lasting backdrop?
Answer: Paint, you'll get it just right, and you can spray a sealer on it. There are paintings that have been around for ages and not much dye, even from the 1970's.
