Question: Decorating my guest/spare room?

I have a 10′ x 16.5′ room with 2 windows. It has a computer desk, gun safe (these 2 stay in the room), queen bed, 2 nightstands and a dresser with a tv on top. I want to decorate it with a country theme, for my mom (who visits 3x year) and my 2 pre-teen kid’s entertainment. Was thinking of a daybed w trundle for couples, wall mounted tv with stand under it for PS2, Wii, etc. 2 windows do not go down to floor. Add curtains to floor? or darkening shades (with curtains or no?). The room is VERY bright. Suggestions?

Answer: I like your bed idea, and the wall-mounted t.v. with stand, and it sounds like window coverings are really needed.
For a country theme I would not have “puddled” curtains, they would be to sophisticated for this room, but just to the floor would be good.
I would use wood slat blinds for a country room.
Don’t paint the room any colour of yellow, because yellow can make people anxious.
I would choose a warm green, beige (neutral) or blue. They are very comforting colours.
Try to find an old or antique stand for the room, and if either of your dressers are old, keep it in the room.
To make this theme more prevalent, you could find some country scape pictures from yard sales, or use photos of flowers, trees or fields.
Make sure that your lighting also matches the theme, don’t use anything modern.

Question: How do I mount a scope on my gun that has a scope mount?

Its a 22, which was really old My grandfather or great grandfather. It is a bolt-action. But there arent any grooves for a scope as this is something more modern. I heard about a sort of ring Revolving around the barrel or something like that. I dont know exactly how to do this. But his big gun and I could not bear damage this gun.

Answer: The older guns, you need to take the gun to a gunsmith, who can drill and tap the receiver to accept a scope mount. A Once this is done, the assembly must be an easy job for him to reach. I had left to mount the scope to find the correct scope mounting bases might be difficult for an older gun.
