Question: I am looking for a good digital video camera?
I have tried Hitachi DZ-GX5020A
I don’t like that it goes to a DVD instead of to my computer. I need something that will work well, take clear videos, and transfer easily to my computer. I saw something like it before, but I’m not sure where,…
Any suggestions?
Answer: I agree with your thoughts entirely. I searched hard and long for a camcorder that does exactly what your asking for…… I purchased the Sony HDR-SR12 Hybrid HD Camcorder. It shoots video onto Flash Memory Cards or the 120GB built in Hard Drive. The download time from camcorder to computer is 5 to 15% of shoot time depending on your quality settings. It also takes amazing 5.1 still pictures. Because the prices of Flash Media is so cheap, take a look at it’s smaller brother the HDR-SR11 – it packs a similar punch for under $1K.
Another excellent place to find Hitachi Digital Dvd is on Amazon… They have way more than just books!

We had a nice digital 28” inch hitachi set with surround speakers and home cinema system.I have just been to the tv showroom but so confused as to which one to get??!!
as we are on a budget and looking fr a tv about the £500 or under mark, pl suggest me something and where is the best place to get one? We already have sky digital, video dvd player all working.
thanks
Answer: Purchase your TV from John Lewis, they will price match Comet’s/ Curry’s/ Argos’s instore price but will also include a free 5 year warrenty. They will also allow you to return the TV within 28 days if you decide you don’t like it, their customer service is also second to none. Otherwise go for a Sony as I believe all their TV’s come with a 3 year warrenty until september, regardless of where you purchase it from.
This is the Samsung 32″ B450. It’s a good TV with great black levels/ upscaling, but you may be underwelmed by it’s inbuilt speakers. http://www.johnlewis.com/230562551/Product.aspx It’s only £350 though. REVIEW: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/samsung-le32b450-le32b450c-20090625155.htm
However if you are coming from a CRT it’s often best to go for a plasma, as LCD’s may look grainy/ oversharp to you. Take a look at this Panasonic 37″ Plasma http://www.johnlewis.com/230563560/Product.aspx

Question: How do I use a camera vertically on a tripod? Is there an accessory I need to buy?
I’m trying to find the name of the accessory or if the tripod includes it (it’s a Vista Explorer 60″ Davis & Sanford).
Answer: You don’t need to need to get any accessory for the tripod to go vertical because their is a thumb screw just on one side of the base of the tripod. So just loosen up that thumb screw and gently move the tripod base plate to the vertical position and then tighten thumb screw back to lock everything back down.
We hope you found this page on Davis Sanford useful… In case you didn”t find what you were after, give the search box above a try! (It”s amazingly intuitive.)
