I know one is quite a bit more expensive, but what is the difference between the 2? Is it worth the extra money for the 701?

I have a nice, but a pocket camera, a panasonic sd100, one day may get a Sony shoulder mounted HD1000U or a canon xha1 or the like! Don’t need anything more professional then that!

Answer: It depends on your requirements.

The 700 is rated to 2.5 kg… or a bit over 5.5 pounds.
The 701 is rated at a hair over 4.3 kg… or 9.5 pounds.

The weight of your camera, light, mic, mic mount, wind screen, high capacity battery, lens, filter, and whatever else you might have on there needs to be considered – not just the camera.

Even if you don’t use any of this extra stuff today and the “planned weight” is under the 5.5 pounds, you *may* add that stuff in the future – at which point, you *could* be over the weight rating. Things can break when you do that.

Be sure the tripod legs are rated more than enough to support the combined weight of the head + camera and accessories…

Question: Does anyone know the brand of cool mini Hi-Fi?

They are gloss black or white and rose from the ground in a mini tripod leg. They are exposed face with a tweeter and a midrange cone.

Answer: Are the Mini-Micro-Pod or Pod speakers, made by Scandyna. It can seem cold, but in truth their sound quality is quite poor.
