I wonder .. I'm considering buying a Nikon D40 or Canon 100D as I am more and more interest in photography, but still at the amateur level. How far is the zoom range lenses? As a 18-50mm lens? How far is that in the real To increase life? How 35x optical zoom on a standard digital camera .. Thanks for your reply. Have a lovely day.

Answer: It is a little confusing when trying to compare them with point-and camera lenses to shoot. You can use different lenses, that all have 3x zoom, but you give very different To see areas. For example, the 18-55mm kit lens is a 3x optical zoom lens is like a 100-300mm. The 18-55 goes from a slight wide angle to slight telephoto. The 100-300mm is a long telephoto lens. In a nutshell, we need more to start with a lens that would be considered normal, or what the eye sees. For one of the two cameras would be normal around 35mm. Anything more is teleconferencing. Anything shorter is wide angle. For example, a lens that was 200mm you would a field of view that was more than 5.5x closer than the eye can see. A 18mm lens you would be a field of view that twice as far away as you would see with the naked eye view. It really is not each lens that you will be the equivalent of a 35x zoom. Get the next gear, is a 18-200mm, which would you a 11x zoom lens. Tamron is a 18-270mm lens that would be 15x zoom. The disadvantage of this long zoom range lenses is that it makes many compromises as a lens involved. You will not be visually as well with a few shorter his field zoom lenses. I hope this helps.
