Question: lens compatability for professional style camcorder?
I'm looking at a professional style camcorder, a "dvc pro 50" type. The one I am looking at does not have a telescopic lens on the camera.
Are virtually all camcorder lenses compatable? I have seen some for as low as 50 dollars, and some as high as 20,000.
I don't need the capabilities of the 20k lens (whatever they may be), I just want to film hobby home movies, and occasional out door events (nothing requiring long zooming).
1. Will the camera film without the attachment lens and at what distance?
2. How do I know if a lens will fit a camera?
3. Are the lenses the same as ones used to extend still photo cameras? It is a sony camera.Thanks.

Question: What kind of professional photography, I can do at a very low budget and with a single D-Slr Body and lens?I in the market buying'm a beginner DSLR lens (for budget reasons) and wanted the town to consult for some answers. I am planning to buy a lens Nikon D40 Kit. Since I'm pretty green to the whole scene of professional photography (web developer before), I wanted experienced photogs that were once in my position to be consulted.
Answer: Do not get me wrong, the Nikon D40 is an excellent camera, but I would prefer something with more megapixels. For an additional $ 50 you can get a Canon XS 10-megapixel, which, in contrast to 6. Each photographer will say, his camera and lens, the quality and not the megapixels that is true, but the megapixels allow you to produce your printed photos in larger formats. More megapixels does make it easier to harvest work.
