Question: change my Sony Vaio VGN-NR38M laptop case?

Is it possible to change the case of money from my Sony Vaio VGN-NR38M to black case? If yes, where would I buy a slush fund?

Answer: everything you can think — but what U Want to Do 1st u want to find the case if u can (it should be that accurate or boasrd mother does not), it is not like trying on a pair shoes that u should remove all this – not for the novice to the back of me – I had to scrap the idea and live with money from a look on Google or a YouTube video on how to disassemble a laptop and u will see how difficult it is – one mistake and ur pc is scrap

Question: Why won’t my TV/DVD combo play J-PEG or audio discs anymore?

I have a combination tv/dvd that I used to show people pictures that I burnt onto cd with my computer. It worked fine up until last year when it stopped playing not only j-peg discs, but audio discs as well, and with no warning signs whatsoever. One day it did it, the next day it didn’t. What could be the problem? I would think it was a compromised lens, but the thing actually plays video DVDs with zero problems. Insight would be much appreciated.

Answer: “One day it did play, the next day it didn’t”..assuming that you are playing the same known good disk and same jpeg or audio files in it, then there must be problem in the mechanism, such that the lens may be misalligned, or the lazer hits a scratched/dirty surface in the lens cap.The light may penetrate a bad angle such that it can only read DVD. Try using different disc w/ jpeg files and if it is confirmed that your player is faulty, do clean the lens, inspect the tray mechanism if foreign object is blocking( use flashlight) If the lens is scratched have a qualified serviceman re-align it so the light will not hit the scratched part of the lens cap(glass). So as not to spend more, buy a new DVD player, there are good brands fr $30-50. Those built in DVD players in TV’s are prone to malfunctions because of the heat generated by the set.
