Question: Can anyone recommend a decent wireless shutter remote for a canon 40d?

I’m a student and on a very limited budget. are there any decent ones out there for under $30.00 you can recommend to me? thanks!
thanks, i did actually see that one, i just wasn’t sure if it was any good.

Answer: I am surprised that you didn’t include such a device when you bought such an excellent camera. If you don’t need your shutter release to be wireless (most people find that wired remotes are just fine), you can buy the Canon Remote Switch RS-80N3 for under $70. The wireless remote is a whopping $680, amazingly expensive when you consider that Nikon wireless remote for their DSLR’s is under $20.

A quick search using Yahoo Search, yielded the following:

Question: When buying a digital SLR, should I buy a wireless remote and a Battery Grip / Vertical Shutter too?

I was Original purchase only the body and lens, but these two factors emerged, the wireless remote control and grip / trigger vertical. Are these necessary for using a digital SLR? And yes, I do not know the function of these two points. However, I do not know if I should buy 'em or not. Therefore, any suggestions on why or why not? Thank you! : D

Answer: _Need_ She? No, I see the use of remote wireless already, and it will cast on my next Amazon order (I think there is one-third that is only $ 10). If you plan to low light / night time / self-portraits, and finally Get this! The battery grip would be good if you decided to take the camera with you for very long days, or longer trip weekend with nowhere to load the camera. My battery XSi lasts long, but I've shot hundreds of photos in a day before, and it is reduced by about half. The vertical shutter release … eh … a luxury that I currently can not imagine that, often, to be effective. I would expect that the battery grip.
