Question: Do they make slide scanners that scan multiple slides at a time?

I'm looking for a slide scanner that is fast. One that has a carousel and will scan them all in a row.

Answer: The only one worth your time would be the Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 with the SF-210 batch feeder for scanning your 35mm slides. This will cost you around 1100 for the scanner and 300-400 for the feeder.

Also it is not super fast and takes time to learn so in my opinion you are better off going with the right scan company like www.profilmarchiving who offer high quality slide scanning services for excellent prices. I have never found a place who cares about quality preservation like they do and I have had work done by them along with some of my family and friends. We were all blown away, it's worth the time to at least give them a call and see.

Good luck with your project and all the best!

Another excellent place to find Slide Scanner is on Amazon... They have way more than just books!

I am looking for a photo / slide scanner for my Father, how will archive old family photos. I'm buying for info on the search, what they do and what performance qualities to look for. (Resolution, etc)

Answer: I think the brand Canon 8400F scanner makes a big one. It is very easy to use and intergrate with your computer. It allows you to photos, Documents and Negs / slides. If you are a little higher resolution try the 9950 from Canon.
