Question: The plastic lens fell out of my spectacles.. I used super glue.?

Some got on the lens. I can’t use acetone as it melts plastic. It has set like concrete.

Answer: You should see your optician. Perhaps they could polish the surface to remove the superglue. You could try it yourself using toothpaste and a soft cloth, but I won’t guarantee the results. Next time don’t use superglue.

Question: Scratches on glasses with plastic lenses?

I have minor scratches on the lenses of my glasses. I wonder if there is something I can do to reduce or get rid of them.

Answer: My optometrist tells me that there is nothing to do with scratches in the plastic. There is zero "resilient" plastic lenses, however.
