Question: How much would my HP Pavillion a1110n desktop PC + monitor cost if I were to sell it?
Here are the specifications:
345 Intel Celeron D Processor
512MB PC2700 SDRAM memory
160GB 7200RPM Ultra DMA hard drive
CD, CD+RW. DVD, DVD+RW reading & writing Lightscribe technology
8-in-1 card reader
Speed = 3.06 GHz
5 USB (1 in front)
Expansion bayMONITOR: HP vs17
Answer: i have the same monitor as you and that alone is worth £150 brand new.
so £100 for the monitor and about £200 maybe £250 for the computer as the ram is low and its a Celeron D.
so together £300-£350i bought my HP Pavilion a1449.uk for £500 with monitor and it had 1MB ram, 250GB hard drive, 256mb graphics and was a AMD chip.

Answer: uninstall, then try reinstalling. Is the software for Windows 98? if you wont need them for XP, you are running Windows Vista. if so check to that the element is compatible. If you do not you try a search for Vista drivers, you start at the company site.

Question: Windows 7: IR receiver/emitter not working?
I’ve just got an IR receiver/emitter for my WIndows 7 (64-bit) PC. The red light on the receiver responds to my remote control, but the emitter doesn’t seem to be responding. Also, the device is showing up on my PC, with up to date drivers and supposedly “working correctly”. But it isn’t working at all. There is no indication that it even recognises my remote control, other than the fact that the red light flashes. My remote control is a KVENNA MCE remote – with the big green MCE button. I’ve spent ages searching for alternative drivers, but I’ve found nothing. I intend to connect my Virgin Media Pace box to my PC.
Hopefully there will be someone who can help. Thanks for any helpful answers!
Answer: hi chris
i have windows 7 ultimate 64bit edition and i have had no problems with any drivers however alot of windows 7 drivers are pre-installed and configured during installation leaving just display and soundcard drivers to install
however much like vista some drivers are difficult to find and since some unknown manufactuers still havent updated their driver/support sites you will find it hard to locate new drivers
that said, alot of windows 7 drivers are actually bundled with windows vista drivers so in other words when you experience problems locating windows 7 drivers you can allways try a windows vista driver for the same device
in this instance i would use the windows 7 add hardware wizard since online driver searches are more reliable with vista and 7 than with xp,so look for your mce remote in device manager and then right click and select properties
then select “update driver” and allow windows to look online for a driver, however note : locating drivers online can take several minutes so be patient,it can take up to 5 minutes as it searches microsofts extensive driver database
you will know when its found a driver as you will see a message “downloading driver” and then “installing driver”….then in some cases you may need to restart your pc
also check the battery compartment on the remote, some of these are badly designed and the contacts may be faulty,,,also try different batterys(i swear by duracell)
good luck chris !
