Two nights ago apon leavin a nightclub I seemed attract the attention of some drunk teenager who first of conducted freindly banter about my leather jacket and then got a bit nasty and squared up to me and threatened. Immediately I was grabbed, the pc kneed me so hard in the leg that it’s still bruised, yanked my arm behind my back, shoved my head down and handcuffed me, I didnt resist in the slightest and throughout the ordeal i said i’m not resisting because he was acting like i was, It was completely unreasonable.I would have just held my hand out! The Policeman then left me with a lady pc who seemed to be just as shocked as i was with the treatment and she filled in a form to fine me £80 for threatening and abusive behaviour, i never signed the form to say i’d received. Can i appeal? Is it worth it?

Answer: You should go to court and ask for a jury trial (if they allow that in your country). Most likely they will drop the charges. You can also ask that your fine be commuted to community service. Whatever you do, plead innocent and stick to your guns!
