Question: Best 67mm DSLR filters?

Hi, I’m new to the DSLR realm and would like to know what the best UV, Cir. Polarizer, and ND filter brands at 67mm attachment. I’ve just bought a Nikon D90 and would love to explore its potential. btw, it’s a great camera

Answer: Tiffen or Hoya, but I prefer the Tiffen. A UV filter should be used for daily shooting, it will help cut down on haze slightly and also provide a protective layer. A Circular Polarizer is for landscapes generally, whether shot during the day or night. Remember that you lose, on average a stop of light when using a CP filter. The ND filter is simply to allow you to perform slower shutter speeds under brighter light (outdoors). It is generally not something you use all the time, a specialty not unlike the CP filter.
