Question: Can a Canon FD 17mm f4 wide angle lens be mounted on a Canon EOS Rebel XT?

I am looking for a wide angle lens for my XT and am wondering if the FD has any effect on whether the lens can be mounted on my camera. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a wide angle lens? Not wanting to go ape on the price either….

Question: What is the Canon SD800 wide-angle lens is doing that is different than a normal lens.?

Answer: The SD800 has a wider price objective of 28 mm compared to some cameras that have 35mm-38mm. From the reviews I've seen from this camera … it is a drawback to having this another lens (the "corner softness in the picture). but more reviews are coming out soon so it is difficult to say how good / bad it is.
