Question: Car Battery Charger…Worried..help pls.?

I have a 92 honda hatchback and its the small thin type battery but dont
know anything more than that cause theres no info on the battery itself.

Anyhow my car battery is dead and I need to buy a battery charger. I was advised not to use a jumper as it could affect the electrical system, that and Id have to drive it around for a few hours to
charge up the battery.

However my electrical outlets output is 220v-250v 15amp. I dont
want to buy a charger, then plug it in, connect it to the
battery and something terribly goes wrong. Im also not
familiar with car battery chargers and the amp setting?

What should I do?

Answer: use jumper cables and jump it, you won’t hurt the car one bit as long as you hook the red cable to positive on both vehicles and the black cable to negative on both vehicles, get it running and then drive it to a auto store and have them check your charging system to make sure the alternator is good and your battery.

Question: Can I use a 12 volt battery charger to charge a 6 volt battery if I use the 1.0 amp setting?

Answer: Do not do it. Pick up an extra 6 volts and charge in series. It works fine even in high definition.
