Question: Where can I find a model of free messenger bag?I need a free pattern for a messenger bag (sewing) that has lots of pockets. I can not find decent on the web, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a place I could find one. Links please!:) Thanks.
Answer: Here's a free pattern for a messenger bag. Http: / / www.savvyseams.com / bags / adventure.php This model offers hints and tips on how to adapt the model to your specific needs pockets. Some of the things that I would add a large zippered pockets for items I need to keep on hand as a wallet or ID. I would also add a keychain so you can cut the keys for her. The easiest zipper pocket I know is that I can not find online. Determine the width and the time you want the pocket to be. Add the tab and double the length. Enough out. One of the sides of the zipper is sewn into the top edge. Fold bottom edge up the other half of the zipper and sew in place. This makes a tube with a zipper that connects the top and bottom. Turn the pocket making it backward. Place the closure of an inch from the top of the double tube of fabric, making a rectangle. Unzip one shortly before sewing the side seams – it is much easier to do! Sew both sides of the bag with a 1 / 4 inch to 1 / 2 inch seam. Turn to the side pocket right out. Place the bag by sewing on one side at the bottom and on the other side. Leave the top open. This gives you a double bag. A zippered pocket to ward off secure the elements and the other to put the items you want to easily find.
