Question: Tramp Microphone help?
I just got handed a panasonic 3ccd camera and a tram microphone kit in order to do auditions for a movie on monday. However, I have no idea how this microphone works/how to put it together. The link below will show you some of the parts…can anyone help me use this???
http://www.aem.nl/html/TRAMHT.html
Answer: The mic should already be assembled onto the cord. You merely need to add the accessories that match your filming situation. You did not provide audio jack specs the the camcorder, so both instructions are blow (find headphones that plug into your camcorder and bring them with you) This is also an educated guess:
If your camcorder uses a 1/8″ mini plug for mic in, plug the mic directly into your camcorder. Plug your headphones (which probably have a 1/8″ mini plug) into your camcorder and turn it on. Go to the menu in the camera’s recording mode and adjust the audio settings to mic (not line), try turning phantom power off (if you have the option), and you might need to adjust attenuation or input level.
For professional camcorders with XLR, plug the mic into the TR79 adapter. Plug the adapter into the XLR input on the camcorder. Plug in headphones and turn on camera. Adjust audio: from line to mic, you probably need phantom power on, and then adjust input levels if necessary.
– If you do not have a TR79, you can probably find a XLR-M to mini-F adapter like http://www.fullcompass.com/product/235523.htmlThe rest of the mic adapters are explained on the link you provided. Just be sure diaphram (the small black square area on the mic) is kept clean, in normal temperatures, and pointed towards your subject.
If your mic works and you want to make it wireless, you can purchase a transmitter and receiver kit to make your Tram mic wireless. This kit http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006HO3R?ie=UTF8&tag=motionpicturecentral-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00006HO3R already has two mics for it, but it demonstrates what you want to find. You can try searching B&H Photo Video http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/shop/1871/Camcorders.html?BI=2075&KW=&KBID=2785&img=bh-videomakergen-728×90.gif for a very good quality basic wireless transmitter and receiver kit that comes without mics, and will accept your Tram.

Q: DVD player cleaning? Have I missed something?I have a 2.5 year old Panasonic DVD / VHS player combo. About a year ago, my DVDs began stopping and / or jumping rope. I bought a cleaner kit that is only one hard disk with small brushes. This worked for a while. It does not work anymore last week. I took off my DVD player cover and cleaned the optical lens with alcohol on a Qtip. Also cleaned the rubber disc, the DVD is turned on automatically. Played first 10 minutes of the same DVD that was to stop, and it played perfectly, then came to a halt. Have I missed something with this cleaning? Is there any link that show me would step-by-step, what should I do? Thank you!
Answer: It sounds like you have really done the cleaning. Is it only the a plate that keeps stopping? It allows the drive that needs cleaning, not the players. If this is all your DVD's laser then go off the rails could in this case, it is time for a new DVD player. This is the reason why I avoid the combo would be a component does not work, you end up with a DVD player sit on top of your combo, or you would buy a new VCR.

Question: is a screen protector available for canon eos500d?
Answer: http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/canon-eos-rebel-t1i-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
I use an invisible shield on my a700 and it works great. You have to be careful when you apply it and follow the directions but it does its job well. It will protect from scratches. Just don’t expect it to protect from cracks if you bang it or drop it although it will provide some protection there.
I have read that using a hard protective cover is bad. It can get dirt under it which will cause worse scratching than if you had nothing covering it at all.
