Question: when buying a violin, is the price of a violin itself separated from its bow, shoulder rest and case?
if it is separated, what are the prices of the bow, case, shoulder rest and violin? list the prices pls.. by the way violin’s size is 4/4
Answer: For that, you will need to contact the person/company from whom you intend to purchase the instrument. Some violins are sold seperately, some are not.
If a violin is sold seperately, it will not come with anything.
A lot of companies sell “outfits.” These contain the violin, bow, case, and usually some type of rosin. However, I prefer to purchase rosin on my own; though it is nice to have an extra just in case.
If you do purchase rosin on your own, it will cost anywhere from two dollars to thirty. It all depends on the quality, amount, and manufacturer. I use jade rosin, though I forget the company name.
A bow can be purchased from twenty dollars to several thousand. Mine was about four hundred, it is the CodaBow Conservatory. If it is an option financially, I’d greatly recommend this. Otherwise, go to an instrument store, tell them your price range, and they can help you to find the correct bow for you.
As for a shoulder rest, Kun is widely renowned for its incredible quality. If you do purchase a Kun, I’d recommend the Voce, Original, or Super. Here is the web address:

A shoulder rest will cost between 10 and 100 dollars. If you purchase one, I’d suggest you do so online. Depending on your budget, you may not want to purchase one; this is fine. If you’d like, you can play without one, though this is painful for many people. Instead, you can attach a simple sponge onto the back of your violin. If you choose to do this, email me and I’ll explain it further.
A violin, at very low quality, can cost as low as twenty dollars. However, DO NOT purchase a violin like this. They have many issues, such as tuning problems, low quality so they break easily, and many others. The price goes upward quite high–the most expensive I’ve actually seen is 30,000, but it goes MUCH higher.
Pretty much all of this will depend on how much money you are able to spend. If you are considering the purchase of a violin, you probably have an instructor of some sort. If you ask them, I’m sure they’d be more than willing to help you select a good one for you.

Question: Where can I put my violin shoulder rest?I have a hard violin case which has no space inside for the rest of the shoulder. It is a hassle to drag outside the case. What could I do to make the execution more secure (I do not want to lose) and more convenient?
Answer: You can always relax so it does not stick and put it, the neck of your violin. (This kind of thing together) is a pain, but it works.
