Question: Can you put a SLR lens on a Cannon XL2?
I am thinking about buying the Cannon XL2 for a documentary. An the XL2 is a camera that really caught my eye. I been reading reviews and found out that you could change lens a feature that I really like. But I could not figure out what kind of lens dose it take. I know its not a normal film motion picture camera lens, because it is way to small. But base on photos i seen of it it appears to a SLR lens. Am I wrong?
Answer: Technically, you can. You would need an EF adapter to adapt any number of Canon’s SLR lenses to the XL2 body. Just be aware that they are not designed for camcorders, so a 70-200mm Canon EF lens, for example, will not equate to that exact focal length on your XL2.
The XL2 is designed to be used with Canon’s XL interchangeable lenses though, so if you’re looking into lens options, look at those first.

Question: What is the best lens for Nikon SLR is a first time user?I am looking forward to buy a Nikon D200, but never used with digital SLR camera before, I'm buying from the lens to unsafe levels. I am looking for an all-purpose lens that will work well with the portrait. Even a SLR Lens to a digital SLR camera for a 35-mm handheld camera-ready made?
Answer: The D200 is a 1.5 x crop factor. Lenses on them behave much like a lens of 1.5 x the focal length on a film body. That being said, an AF 50mm f/1.4D or f/1.8 is a beautiful portrait, measured in a 1.5 x crop factor camera. (The 85mm Nikkors have the classic portrait length on Nikon gear, but are a little too long on 1.5x crop DSLRs)

Question: What is the difference in picture quality between LCD and/or Plasma HDTV?
Which has longer durability and picture quality?
Answer: Plasma Pros:
Good plasmas have better contrast (range of blacks and whites)
Wider Viewer Angle
Better at displaying fast motionLCD Pros:
LCDs are generally brighter
May have less glare
No chance for image burn in
Lower Electric BillIf you are going to have a lot of natural light in the room with the HDTV, go for LCD (generally are brighter and have less glare).
The lifetime of plasma is generally not a big problem. Most of them are rated for 60,000 hours of use until the image is half as bright as when it was new. That’s more than 5 years of constant use.

Question: How do plasma and LCD televisions compare quality and longevity? What is the best buy LCD or Plasma Television reliability and image quality
Answer: It's a little twisted. Both types have only been widely used for only a few years. Therefore it is not possible to establish a lifetime statistically significant for both types. The figures quoted by manufacturers do not take into account the household where they start / stop / standby at irregular intervals and under different indoor humidity, temperature, shock, air pollution etc. Theoretically, LCDs last longer than plasma but plasma technology has progressed a lot over the last four years. A CRT will Preformance superb for at least 15 years of domestic use so I would be extremely disappointed if an expensive CRT / Plasma screen degraded in less time. As for picture quality, good – Definition (native resolution) screen is determined by the number of pixels. On HD screens because it is fixed for all sizes – so a 57 "screen displays the pixels if you look close, but a 32" screen will not. Normally, larger sizes are plasmas, but it is more to do with manufacturing costs relative. Basically, it's the electronics that determine the quality of the image. Although designed tv channels will optimize the performance of either an LCD or plasma. This is where some of the seemingly low price save Televsion money. Compare 32 "Sony or Panasonic with a 32" thing to Asda for half price and you definatley see the difference. May use less expensive often more power too (even in standby) so that your cycle cost of living is higher. Incidentally, the screen of your computer using TFT, which is another type of technology and would be very expensive to produce in sizes from television.
