Question: Why is it that my home video DVD won’t play smoothly in some DVD players?

I recorded a home video onto a DVD disc using a DVD video recorder. The DVD plays choppy in a portable DVD player and in my computer. It only plays smoothly in two DVD players, one including the one I used to record it with. So what’s the problem?
Oh, and it won’t play at all in another one, It says “NO DISC.”

Answer: It may be due to the media that you used. If you used DVD +R, you might want to try a DVD -R and see if that makes a difference. Sometimes it could also be due to the brand that you use, try and stick with name brands (HP, Memorex, Sony..) and see if that also helps.

Question: How can I burn DVD video files to DVD-R to watch on a DVD using Alcohol 120%?

I just downloaded the program and im a little confused on how to burn video files to DVD-R. I think I have already converted, but im not sure. do Alcohol 120% software converts MPEG files too? and how. Oh, and if u have done this before, Using DVD-R, 120% alcohol, and successfully got it to work on aDVD player please help! Directions would be nice! Thanx! I used ConvertXtoDVD software to convert video file. (but I do not think it was converted to right, so is there any other softeware which turns it into readable somthing like MPEG? Not my usual comouter Nero let me Download as.)
