Its been aaaaaaaages since I used a film camera and have borrowed a Horizon 202 panoramic camera. But when I load in the film, the shiny side is facing me? As in away from the shutter. Is this right? It doesnt seem to make sense, or am I just being totally dense?

Answer: Yes, that’s the way you do it. Mate side facing the shutter – only that way the film will run smoothly out of the canister anyway. If you load it the other way the film would bend 90 degrees when running out of the canister.
Enjoy the camera. I’m not sure about the frame size of the negative with the Horizon so when having it developed ask at the lab NOT to cut it – they might cut through the frame if they do it automatically. Just in case that the camera does not produce 24x36mm negs.

Answer: If you plan to use this camera much Save yourself time and money making you a scanner that can scan 35mm and medium format 6x6cm film 6×7, etc.. Epson has many choices, scan your images, you can always send your images to be printed digitally, or simply take your own printer. As for development, photo booths can develop photos with the chemicals they have, just ask the only negative, should be only a few dollars.
