Question: Why won’t my MacBook notice when my Canon PowerShot SD500 is connected?

I have a new MacBook, the 13-inch aluminum kind, and I wanted to put some of my mothers photos onto it for her, but when I plugged the camera in (Canon PowerShot SD500) the disk image didn’t appear on my desktop and the camera doesn’t say that it’s connected. This problem didn’t happen with my camera. Do I need to download some Canon software, and if so, where? Thanks!

Answer: Download the Canon software for Mac or get a card reader.

Macs are not “sh*t” as the other person said. They are ubiquitously regarded as superior hardware and operating systems.

Question: If I send my cap aluminum can money?

so I have been collecting metal caps on aluminum cans ppl becuz I said they are the most valeable on as possible so I do .. 200 atleast and I need money for this camera to school so im just wondering where I can find a place where I can turn em like it when u get dollars for your coins and what each cost cap (and to be in Chicago)

Answer: Do not send them everywhere. You bring them to a recycling scrap metal or metal yard and sell them. The caps are no better than anywhere else in the can. 200 does not go long. They charged by the pound. Aluminum is currently going for about 80 cents a pound.

Question: Should I get a new camera or not?

So i have a digital camera. Its a Canon PowerShot A460 with only 5.0 megapixles and 4x optical zoom. It works fine but it has many weaknesses: unpredictable picture quality, less than great video quality, big and bulky ( having trouble finding a case for it) and also its quite slow when it comes to quickly taking a picture. I also have another fuji film that i don’t use or like but bought cause i thought i had lost my present Camera. Im thinking about just letting my moms have it. My dad is skeptical because i already have two. I am looking into a canon SD1100 IS ( 8.0mp 179.99$ ) ( my camera also has great features to. great pictures ( almost mostly) and Great super macro)
what should i do?? PS i do like canons and would like to stick to that.
Thank you!

Answer: BEFORE you get another camera, learn about photography.

Practice with what you have now, and once you understand it all, you will be able to A) take MUCH better photos and B) make a very educated decision as to your next camera.

Take a class, borrow some books, read/watch tutorials online. A good photographer makes a much bigger difference to the outcome than the camera does.

Question: A question about macro focus for users of FinePix cameras ….?

I have the Fuji FinePix S5200 and I want to know how to activate the macro development .. but I have no cue how! Help??

Answer: I an s3100. Besides the on / off switch, there is another button on the top of my camera. Mine has a position marked M. I guess this is the macro. The other settings are Auto (main control), video and picture??? Good luck.
