Question: Any idea where I can find the lens cap for a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1 ?
This is an “old” 2.0 megapixels digital camera I own for almost a year and I bought it for a friend with the lens cap missing. I’ve trying to buy a replacement cap but I receive the same answer in every store, they don’t have it or the model is old. Thank you in advance, any clue / suggestion is appreciated .
Answer: My suggestion would be to call the Panasonic customer service line and tell them you lost your lens cap and need it replaced. They might charge you, but some companies will replace it for you for free. Some companies that have extended this curtousy for me is Canon, Plantronics, and Belkin. You might have some luck with Panasonic. The other thing you can try is bringing your camera to a local camera store and seeing if they have a lens cap that will fit your camera. Chances are they will. If that doesn’t work, you can ask that question on the dpreview.com forums. You’re sure to find an answer to your lens cap problem there.

That’s a link to a site that sells lens cap replacements. Their lens cap section has 151 products, I’m sure you’ll find it there.

Question: What are home theater system is better?ive been to a home theater system for some time to buy (movies to see and hear music), but in undisided what is best. in view of sound quality capabilities not. I went to Circuit City, but home theater is limited, so no one will put it at Lound. these are the 2-systems I'm interested especially, can someone tell me what is better? Http: / / www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-Component-Home-Theater-System-HT-DDW790/sem/rpsm/oid/174935 interested / CatOid/-12884/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Panasonic-Complete-Home-Theater-System-SCPT650/sem/rpsm/oid/175796/catOid/-12884/ rpem / ccd / ProductDetail.do thanx, im looking no more than $ 350, but everyone seems to think the Onkyo is the best so I will try to spend that one
Answer: Bah … This is your home theater system and what you depend on to hear. If you do not hear and feel a noticeable difference, what does it do? Find out what the return policy for the business. If you can try it and then another for a model with no net a processing fee that you try a to find the best for your home sounds. Otherwise, you must compare them in memory. What you need to do is to get the same movie / music as in every game. Then situate themselves on as much as you would in your home, and then listen to it. What sounds better to you? Each manufacturer sound a little different than you. The question is, what sound you like best.

its a pretty good deal, but i don’t know if it would be compatible with my CANON EOS REBEL XSi 12.2 MP
Answer: The first one, no. Rebel XSi is the same as EOS 450D, and it’s not listed as one of the compatible camera models.
The second one lists it:

Question: What are the best settings for astrophotography in a digital SLR camera?I have a Canon EOS 500D and I start astrophotography but I'm not sure what settings will give me the best pictures. There is also a way to take risks without having to maintain pressed the button without having to buy a remote control or shutter using a laptop? Thank you!
Answer: What you need is a very Scrabble word, a intervolometer. This small device allows you to keep the shutter open for a predetermined time period. Canon ago one that is expensive, but I've been very lucky with the knock offs from China is on eBay. To set the camera in manual shooting mode withe set to "bulb B '(). As http://tinyurl.com/y9m4yv6 ISO settings. Staying under ISO 1600. While it is the most sensitive setting, is also the nosiest. Most of my photos that I have not gone above 800 ISO. The other thing I do is have the camera automatically make a dark picture. This option has its regular picture (eg, 1 minute duration), then take another exposure without opening the shutter. This helps reduce the amount of noise in the picture. At the expense of twice as long to take a picture (2 minutes in this example). If possible, do not use a zoom lens either. You want what is called a prime or fixed focal length lens. What I have in my computer is a 135mm, 50mm, 28mm and 16mm fisheye (made in Russia). A cheap way to get a good decent main lens is to get the old style 35mm lens and a plate fixation, all that can be found on eBay. What I have done is to buy what is called the M42 or screw mount Pentax lenses. Example – The http://tinyurl.com/yf57437 adapter plate allows you to mount the camera lens – http://tinyurl.com/yhjrqmq And finally, some links on how to imagine it – http://www.astro.shoregalaxy.com/dslr_astro.htm http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/dslr/EOS300Dastro.html http://www.stargazing.net/ david / index.html
