I’m going to a concert in a couple days that is in a small venue. On the website for it for the event, it says ‘Small Cameras OK’ as compared to other shows that say ‘All Cameras OK.’ I have a Canon SLR that I was planning on taking, but I only have a kit lens- nothing fancy or professional. Not a lot of zoom. Would this be allowed? I also have a Kodak camera that resembles an SLR- would that be acceptable? Any ideas?

Answer: They won’t allow a DSLR because you could actually get a decent image with that. They won’t care or understand about the limited quality of the kit lens. As long as it “looks professional” to a very untrained eye, they won’t allow it.

They will allow little P&S cameras because they know it is impossible to get a decent shot at a concert.
