Question: Is it possible to buy a battery pack for pc. I find it most annoying when we get those short power cuts?
I was thinking of buying a laptop to prevent my desktop computer from crashing. We seem to get a lot of minor faults with our electricity supply, but I imagine there should be a simple remedy that I could use with my desktop computer - a power pack or some sort
Answer: Yes you can buy something called a UPS, uninteruptable power supply.
Most should provide enough power for you to get the electricty back on, or shut the computer down to aviod data loss. If you want to buy one its best getting it online, as they are not normally part of the home PC setup. so some shops wont stock them.
It would be worth doing reserch into how much power your PC uses and then see how much power the UPS has, some are built for media computers. and they do not need much power at all if built right. full whack gaming machine eat juice, so they will need more power from the ups.

Question: how to connect the Alpine KTP-445 Power Pack to a non-Alpine head unit?Does anyone know how or where I can find any information about connect the Alpine KTP-445 Power Pack to a non-Alpine head unit. I have a Pioneer, and I need more juice to my speakers, but I already have a sub and amp installed I do not want to go through the trouble to install another amp.
Answer: I do not think you can. The Alpine KTP-445 will have an alpine specific harness that can be used only with Alpine head unit.

What should I choose between a Studio 1555 that has the following configuration:
15.6" Widescreen High Definition (1366X768) WLED with TrueLife, 2.0 MP webcam, Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.4GHz, 1066MHz, 3MB), RAM 2*2GB DDR 800MHz, HDD 320GB 5400rpm, Video 512MB Ati Mobility RADEON HD4570, Wireless 1397, Dell Bluetooth 370 Card, Free Dos, Black, NBD
and a Sony Vaio VGN-NW21SF that has:
Processor - Type: Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 , Memory: 4096 MB , Graphics chip: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 , Screen - Size: 15.5 inch , Screen - Resolution: 1366x768 , Hard disk - Capacity: 500 GB , Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium ?
Answer: These are fairly similar laptops. My answer would sway mostly by price. By looking at the specs, I'd choose Dell 1555 for the better processor. The Sony's specs are much missing though...
What are you using the computer for?
Dells also tend to be more reliable and sturdy according to Cnet stats

It looks like your looking at around 700-900 dollars, hard to tell from a custom configuration, so personally I would choose a Toshiba Satellite T135-S1310. For a multimedia laptop, you may want to invest in a Qosmio. It is a little more expensive though.

Question: What to buy in India this March? Sony Vaio VGN CR35 G / L, 14.1 "or HP Pavilion 6767tx, 15.4"?Help me choose please. Specifications: (in Panipat, Haryana) Sony VAIO Core 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz). processor, 2GB RAM, ATI Mobility X2300 128MB graphics, 200 GB SATA 5400 RPM HDD, 14.1 "screen = Rs. 54,990.00 (MRP). 6767tx HP Pavilion: Core2 Duo T5550 (1.83 Ghz.), 3 GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 5400RPM, screen 15.4 ", 256MB Nvidia8400M GS = Rs. 54.990,00 (+ additional taxes). My thoughts: 1) Larger screen = more power consumption. 2) HP has more outlets and service centers, Sony, in India 3) Sony does not offer Nvidia 8600M, and demanding games I play sometimes, though not always. 4) HP offers 8600 M GT in 17 "laptops that are diificult take everywhere. Sony has a little bit of 14.1 "screen, it will be good for movies and internet? 5) that is more robust, Sony or HP? 6) What has better service and operating costs for life, distribution cycles, etc?
Answer: Notebook HP is more powerful. If you can carry portable 2.5 kg and his bag and accessories (about 5 kg) can be purchased. (If you have a car). Weight is important. HP Notebook is good for player if gaming.but you are a professional, you must use a desktop PC with a graphics card better. 17-inch notebook is more powerful but as you said it is difficult to bear.
