Question: Where could I buy lens cap for Canon EOS 400d?
Online? or local? I’m at Saudi Arabia– Al Khobar in particular.
I lost mine. Don’t know where it went. Haha.
I’ve asked some stores and they said that they would have one in a month, but it’s been like 4 months now. Thanks in advance.
Answer: adorama.com

Q: lens cap Canon AE-1 50mm lens?I recently bought an old Canon AE-1, but the 50mm lens that comes with not have a lens cap. I am looking to buy one, but I'm a complete noob camera and not know what I'm looking for. I can not find a cover of "50 mm lens, and all I've found is a cover of "55mm lens, so I was wondering if the lens cap I'm looking for is actually 55 mm instead of 50 mm. Thanks =) I also I have a 52mm Skylight filter on the lens of 50 mm. Not sure if there is any difference. Once again, I have no idea what I'm doing = P
Answer: It could fit. Depends on the lens. The 50 mm lens the name does not indicate the diameter of the lens, but 55 mm in size of the lens cap. If the objective is the original that came with the camera, you can get a cap on ebay for under $ 10. You can also check out local camera shops to see if they have the brand in action. This is quite standard. View an offering ebay here:

Question: If you screw a fisheye lens onto the end of a wideangle lense what would you get?
I’m just wondering whether the wide angle would act as a telephoto because of it having more magnification than the fisheye.
Camcorder < Wideangle lense (43 mm to 62 mm) < fisheye lense (62 mm)
Would it just weaken the fisheye effect and give a vignette/tunnel effect?
Answer: The wider the lens, the smaller the “fisheye”.
They are best on a short zoom where you can get a variable effect from superwide to full fisheye.
The quality of a fisheye attachment is not a patch on a true fisheye lens but then a true fisheye lens is pretty limited (and incredibly expensive).

Question: pros and cons of getting either a Canon Rebel Xsi with telephoto or Sony HDR-SR12 camcorder? Now that the cameras are always much better with conservation and Still resolution (~ 10 MB), I can not decide whether to have an HD camcorder, such as the Sony HDR-SR12 and replace my old Hi8 or buy a digital SLR like Canon Rebel XSi / 40D with a good telephoto lens. Id be to capture the children in particular sports such as baseball / football etc. so a zoom is a must. I like also have the Direct View on a DSLR. Spoiled with point-and-shoot. Suppose that the cost would probably be somewhat similar.
Answer: Well, the XSi has only Live Preview Not recording video so that should automatically make the choice easier. Or maybe not. First, you have a camera capable of stunning large images, and on the other hand, has a more versatile HD camcorder, capable of moving and still images, but not even close what a DSLR can offer in terms of overall quality plain. If you have not already watched them, I would suggest giving the new Canon Vixia line of camcorders a stroke (especially HF100 and HV30) as I would recommend these HD models from Sony. So let's say I have a camera. You would have the full game (or part thereof) with sound and you should be able to watch all the games takes place. You can also take pictures, even if a lower resolution with a dedicated still camera. You can also modify the images together for a highlight reel. But times could easily end up as amateur clock-from-a-time-and-forget-about-it movie, and if you plan to use the images, however, will not be as great as having a separate camera. And of course in an opposite scenario, should or large photo, or you have nothing. Personally, I would go for the XSi, but the logical choice would be to have a camcorder. Even if it is taping instead of photographing the most time, however, it is nice to have that versatility, especially if you have a digital camera already, someone else takes the pictures and you have video and photos for the moment over time. Hope this helps!
