Question: How do I transfer pictures to my computer from my Sony Cybershot camera?

My digital camera came with a USB cable. However, when I plug it in, the computer makes a sound letting me know a device has been attached, but nothing pops up. I do not already have the program installed, so what do I do?
I HAVE A USB CABLE!!!!!!!! i plugged it in…and NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!! i keep hearing that i something should pop up saying to install a program, but that didn’t happen!!!!! can i download the program somewhere else?!
I tried adding an image device, but sony cameras are not included in the list!!!!!!!!!!!
i don’t have a slot for my memory card.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer: I bought a digital memory card reader, which is better and safer than using the USB cable. It’s compact, portable, and easy to use. All you do is put your camera’s memory card into this device and plug the device into the USB port of your computer, then something on your computer should come up that says if you want to review the pics. This method states that there is no driver installation that is required. It operates with Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME, XP and MAC OS 9 or later.

Question: Where I can find a camera cable for Sony Cybershot?

I recently lost the usb cable to my Sony Cybershot camera (4.1 mega pixels) a few days ago. Anyone know where I can buy one separately? Office Max maybe?

Answer: You might try eBay. But if you can not find one anywhere, just go to the Sony website and for a replacement. It will be a little more expensive, so in another location if possible.

Question: does anyone kno anything about a mini digital camera from vivitar?

they have pink,white,silver,blue.

i just want to kno if anyone maybe has one or use to or somthing so i can kno if it a peice of junk or if its really good for its size anything let me kno thanks.

Answer: I just bought one flickr has a community for people who have bought them. I bought it simply for something to carry for “emergency” use. Sometimes you just need a camera, traffic accidents etc. It takes so so pics in good light. Its definately a 9 dollar camera. I have yet to use it as a webcam. Search Vivitar mini digital camera on flickr and there is a dearth of useful information on how to use them. It’s worth 9 bucks but would not advise it as your main camera.
