Question: Is 150 to 250 Watt seconds enough for a small home studio.?

I am considering purchasing storbes for a small home portrait studio. I have a great deal of constant lights I use for video work however I am not sure how the wattage of my constant lights is compared to watt seconds. I have found several studio kits of fair price that offer 150 up to 250 watt seconds. Is this a good amount of power? Thanks for the help.

Answer: That is actually a pretty small amount of power for strobes, but it will work for you as long as your home studio does in fact remain SMALL. You will only be able to take photos of one person at a time, and even then will probably have to use a fairly large aperture such as 2.8 or 3.5.

The problem is that as time goes on most people who start out with small studios start to grow it, and want or need to photo larger groups of people. At that point, your low power lights will be insufficient. You then end up buying more powerful lights.

My advice to you is to buy some good quality, powerful lights in the first place. They will serve you now and in the future and save you money in the long run.

Question: Studio Lighting – what to buy?

I am a beginner with portrait photography and need me to be part of lighting studio. Unfortunately I know almost nothing about it. Answer: I use two light photog Worklights, aluminum foil and cardboard Barndoors to get fantastic pictures. Is it ideal? no. Is it professional? no. for portraits that you have essentially three lights – a key indicator, an LED Filling and light hair. who do a good job on 90% of all portrait photos. How you spend yours. There are 3 Light kits that sell for under $ 200 and 3 light kits that are over $ 2,000. its a cost / benefit based on your business model and needs. remember to save some money for decoration!

Club Penguin. What would you choose? Just for fun if you go make your own version Club Penguin what animal would you choose. Bare in mind: 1. Must appeal to girls and boys 2. Not detailed 3.
