Question: Do you think that fighting future wars will be like playing a PC game? ?
I’ve seen the latest Russian APC (BMP something). There aren’t any windows, just cameras and displays. Targetting and engaging the enemy is exactly like in a PC game. Do you think that such things are reliable and will replace the existing armoured vehicles?
Answer: You should see the fully integrated combat system the U.S. Army has been working on implementing for the past 20 years. I’m a fire support specialist (FISTer) and already there’s some crazy stuff out there. I’m with the 173rd Airborne, so I don’t see a whole lot of it since we still do most of our target acquisition the old fashioned way. However when I was in Fort Sill, they had an entire R&D kind of unit part of the 78th Field Artillery that was devoted to developing new target acquisition systems in APCs. Basically, an overhead display sits in front of your FISTer with a grid map and he has a direct radio link with the FDC (fire direction center). His FO’s call in and say we need fire at such and such a coordinate, then he pretty much just clicks where on the digital grid map he wants to put down fire, with what shell/fuse combination and against what kind of enemy element. Then a transmission comes up telling him the required information he needs to send to the FDC, he sends it, they fire it, then the FO observe the effects and tell the FISTer in the APC where/how to adjust. It’s crazy and absurdly technological, but to me it seemed really inefficient. Sometimes the trial-tested way works the best.

Question: What photo editing software would be best?
I’m buying a CD with Muslin backgrounds, and need to know what editing software is the most user-friendly (and the best), for taking a subject out of one pic, and transferring them into another (making it look professional). I’ve read that Adobe Elements, Photoshop, or Paintpro, are all good, but which version? I don’t need the latest; just whatever will work, well enough… Thanks!
Answer: best is adobe photoshop cs3

Question: What is the best place to buy media muslin cheap online?Answer: I would first check the main places such Adorama.com or bhphoto.com, then see if what you love is for sale on eBay. If you do not hurry, established a research officer at eBay and you'll be informed when someone lists it. I suppose the muslin backgrounds are all sold on eBay time (also new).
