'm Looking For a DVD video camera for personal use, which is rewritable DVDs and a good battery backup and picture quality and budget in and around Rs.15000 to 20000.

Answer: The format for recordable DVD format cameras is actually worse. Disk, tape drive or flash are better. But the tape is still the best.

Answer: I did find one review for the UV filter, it is iffy. http://lenstip.com/113.20-article-UV_filters_test_Marumi_72_mm_UV.html Never used them myself.

If you do decide to gamble and buy one make sure it is coated. Uncoated filters can ruin pictures by producing flare and reducing contrast in some lighting situations.
