Answer: It should be in your handphone if not in the memory card… you will find it if you are sure that the song is send to you… just click on use tone then set as ring tone…

Question: How many people are disappointed with these new camcorders compared to the old style?

I have a few old VHS camcorders that are superoir with low lighting. One is an RCA and the other is a JVC. Both are great, but they are VHS and huge in size.

Now, I have tested a few of these mini-camcorders, like the Sony HandiCam DVD and the JVC MiniDV and they all are pretty much the same catagory, on the consumer level, like my old chunky VHS camcorders, but one thing that really sucks is that these new gadgets blow goat cheese when it comes to low lighting!

I have a JVC MiniDV. It is the greatest toy I have owned, as far as camcorders. It does very well, and better than “DVD quality”, yet the low lighting is sad. They have what is called Owl Mode or “Slow motion”, something like that. Very choppy and blurry in that mode.

VHS camcorder (full size) and JVC-MiniDV. I am just saying that the VHS does extremely well in very low lighting.

Answer: Do your homework cuz any vhs camera does not even compare to a great miniDV camera. Check out the Canon HV20. Check out camcorderinfo.com to see it all.

I am looking to buy a video camera and will to be able to transfer the video onto my computer. The models I'm looking at are: Sony MiniDV Digital Camcorder – Silver (DCRHC52) and JVC Mini DV Digital Camcorder – GRDA30US. They are recorded on a mini DV tape, and I can not find on the net if they have memory cards or not.

Answer: Good for you for selecting from miniDV tape based camcorders. Because the DV format digital video saves to record with the least amount of compression, this provides better video quality when compared to other camcorders consumber using different storage media – including hard drive, flash memory-based camcorders and DVD. Compression video = discarded data = reduced video quality is what you can expect hard drive, flash memory-based DVD Camcorders. To transfer miniDV tape stored video from a camcorder to your computer, you can use the DV port on the camcorder connected to the FireWire port on your computer with a Firewire cable … and the camera "Play" mode, if using Windows: launch MovieMaker and "capture" the video. If you are using Macintosh: Launch iMovieHD and "Import" Video. Nothing will happen automatically. USB will not work. USB to FireWire converter will not work. Firewire, i.Link and IEEE1394a are all the same thing. You do not need the software that came with the camera.
