Question: What will fit my camera flash and the best for wedding photos?I currently have a Konica Minolta Dynax 5D Digital SLR camera. It's new incarnation is the Sony Alpha …. But I digress. I look forward to an additional flash for this camera to buy, but would like to know which flash the most versitle for use to do at weddings and portraits?
Answer: I think with a Vivatar 283 Pro and a friend has the 284th There is hardly a Difference in them and they were in the $ 250 – $ 275 price range. You can access the camera's flash shoe (mine is a Pentax DSLR are used), or remotely from the camera controlled built in Flash. The head has a snap-in positioning function "flip" it to one of several angles from horizontal to vertical, and an automatic thyrister for various DIN or ASA ssettings.

Question: 500mm F/8 Mirror Lens Macro 1:2.7X?
So i bought this Camera and Its a Nikon D40 then i bought an Opteka (brand) Mirror Lens
It came with the T-Mount Adapter and 3 Mirror Lens Filters. I put the T-mount Adapter onto the Mirror lens and it fits perfectly (ofcourse) then i hook it onto the camera and i hear the click (that its locked on) and i turn on the camera to take a picture but it says Lens not Attached. Im a bit confused as to what is going on, maybe im doing it wrong? help.
Here is a picture of what the lens looks like.http://www.amazon.com/500-1000mm-Definition-Telephoto-Digital-Cameras/dp/B001GKNNDY/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1261842944&sr=1-6
Answer: Did you happen to look on page 97 and 98 in your camera manual?
Do that and then call Nikon at 800.NIKON-UX.
You may have purchased one of the very few lenses you cannot use on your camera.
Your mirror lens is 1) a non-CPU lens and 2) has an f/stop smaller than f/5.6. Either one of those two features make it one of the few lenses your camera cannot used on your camera.
I spot checked some of the Nikon DSLR camera bodies and it is not until you get to the Nikon D300, that any metering can be accomplished with on-board light meter. Most Nikon cameras have difficulty auto-focusing any lens slower than f/5.6. The D200, the lens length and aperture must be set in the cameras non-CPU feature in the cameras menu
In the future before you buy any lens, Nikkor or generic, read your owners manual and make sure it is one that will work on your camera. … or call Nikon and ask 800.NIKON-UX
Of all the reasons to return a lens, not being suitable for your application is one. You have that reason and the other is that the Amazon advert is NOT true; that lens cannot be used on most of the camera bodies listed on the page..
BTW, where did you get the idea that this 500 mm lens is a macro lens?

Question: What type of filter can I use?Want to buy a macro lens, but it is too expensive for me, so I know if I can buy close up filter or converter for my 18-55 lens for my Rebel XTi?
Answer: Like everyone else I recommend a close-up filter. I do not have the money for a macro lens or (especially for recreational use, as macros are not my subjects common. The biggest difference I recommend a 4 or 10 + filter +. I bought a Quantaray (Wolf Camera …. mark by Cokin) 10 + 62 mm Close Up for about $ 50. It allows me to get super close-ups with my 28-105 lens and I could not be happier. Of course nothing is as good as a true macro, but when you compare a filter from $ 50 to $ 450 + lens, is the best compromise can be achieved. If you're just looking for some 'macro magnification, you can often buy a 1 +, 2 +, 4 + threepack down $ 40 or less if you a 58 mm or smaller lens opening.
