Question: How do you remove that annoying white tab from HP Photo Paper?

… and don’t tell me to cut it off!

Here’s the problem: I have quite a bit of HP Photo Paper (Premium Plus). The quality is jaw-dropping, aside from this really annoying white tab on the side. I’ve measure and done a side-by-side comparison — the white tab DOES not exceed the 4×6 standard, it is IN the picture.

Now it would be easy to simply cut it off, however, it then ruins everything (try finding proper photo frames, etc.). I just want my printer — which is an HP one, BTW — to print on the white tab as well.

I did pretty in-depth Google-ing frenzy only to find that it is intentional and you cannot print without it. But I still think there is a way… maybe with a program, perhaps?

If anyone can provide me with a substantial link, that would be much appreciated.

Answer: i got a printer that can print photos what you can do is when you want to print the picture go to print preference in the menu there going to be a box that says “Boardless”then click on the box then print

Question: photo paper ideal for prints of traditional crafts?

I am an artist and I do oil paintings and techniques Mixed illustrations (pencil, ink, watercolor, acrylic, etc..) I have been offering some of my work as prints Limited Edition Fine Art Giclee, but I will also start offering some more reasonably open edition price photo prints as well. What does being a good photo paper to make with? I searched on HP Premium Plus photo paper, it was used in this document for printing traditional crafts rather than photography? By the way the Premium Plus Photo Paper is available in matt, thats what I thought of using. No gloss

Answer: Rather than gloss, I suggest using a matte photo finish, and you should invest in the ink better than the standard are normally used in ink jets. Check with a specialty camera shop for water resistant archival inks and papers.
