Question: Nikon S60 lens error!!?

My boyfriend bought me a Nikon S60 digital camera, yes the touch screen one that cost like $300 ! well that was x-mas 2008 . Summer of 09 we go down the shore for senior week and he decides he wants to tackle me in the sand, well well the camera digs deep into the sand and now it has "lens error". I'm guessing there's sand inside or something . what should I do ? my warrenty is going to end in december . someone help . . . ?!

Question: Is the Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm lens a good lens for taking subjects in motion?

I am pleased with the purchase of a Nikon D40x Together with the AF-S DX 18-55mm lens. I'm going to turn this camera a variety of topics, but one of the most common are dogs play at a local park, I would have liked a lens, to reduce or eliminate the blur of dogs running, jumping, etc. "action" shots, if you will. Is the AF-S DX 18-55mm lens a good lens for the inclusion of this or would I need a little more high end - that a sports photographer might use?

Answer: Chances are, you can do a very good job in understanding the dog action, your 18-55mm, if you choose a high enough ISO and shutter speed. But standing the chances also are good that you want to get "closer" than the 18-55mm you will. My first suggestion would be, Get a 55-200mm VR is the first tele. There is a cost-VR (Vibration Reduction) lens that works perfectly with your D40, I http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/55-200mm-vr.htm. have the more expensive cousin, The 18-200mm VR and love the quality and versatility. I recently toured with China's higher education than my appearance and managed to amazing pictures of a bouncing To capture the tour bus, and the freezing acrobats in the air.
