Question: what should i get, Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 APO II with 2x teleconverter or just take Sigma 120-400mm F4.5-5.6 APO?

Answer: The 70-200 is by far the better lens. Adding a 2x teleconverter will make it very soft though, and only an f5.6.

If you absolutely need the 400mm reach, get the 120-400 (or even the 150-500) which are both excellent lenses for the category, they can’t really compete on the image quality of the 70-200 2.8 though.

If you only need the 70-200 range most of the time, but would like some extra reach, consider the 1.4x teleconverter with it. The ~100-300mm is very useful, and still relatively sharp and bright at f4.

Question: Is teleworking converter with my Sigma 70-300mm Macro DG?

Hello, I have a Sony A200 with Sigma 70-300mm DG Macro and I that is, wondering if this Sigma 2x EX APO Teleconverter for Sony would work? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sigma-2% C3% 97-APO-EX-Teleconverter/dp/B000CD6B6W/ref = sr_1_1? = UTF8 & qid = 1250460646 & sr = 8-1 Greetings

Answer: Yes, it will work, but not recommend it. The Sigma 70-300 DG Macro is a lens soft contact, especially on the longer side and not too fast either. Adding a 2x converter is even slower and degrade image quality. Save money and buy a longer lens at a later date instead.

Question: Are there "adapters" for SmartMedia cards?

I have a digital recorder that works with a Smart Card Media (Korg PXR4), but I need more memory than the maximum of 128MB. Since smart cards with the media are not manufactured anymore, and they have not too much memory anyway, I wondered if I could get a smaller card and then an adapter for that?

Answer: No, the problem is the firmware, and the availability of the adapter. There is supposedly an xD to SM adapter there, but not all fit in the slot. May and the firmware does not see any memory. Some older firmware can not see more than 16 MB! You may be better off getting a recorder digital, unless you have specific reasons to keep it there.>> Checked the specifications for PXR4, it has USB port so you can save the output to PC. Then you can sort on any other medium.
